The Swiss Economic Forum (SEF) is Switzerland’s leading economic conference. The twenty-first edition of the conference took place on 23 and 24 May 2019. Every year 1,350 leading personalities from business, academia, politics, and the media meet for an active exchange of ideas and cross-industry networking. Since its launch back in 1998, the conference has evolved into Switzerland’s most important business event.

Furthermore, the platforms and initiatives of the Swiss Economic Forum promote an entrepreneurial way of thinking and actively help promote young companies. The Swiss Economic Forum hands-out its Award at the SEF. It is the most important prize for young entrepreneurs in Switzerland. This coveted prize awards the three most successful start-ups in three categories.

In order to select the above-mentioned winners, the Forum previously organizes a Campus Day, which develops as follow:

15 START-UP COMPANIES, 15 PITCHES, 9 FINALISTS

The event sees the 15 best start-up companies of the year going head to head with their fellow contenders. Each company introduces itself on stage by way of a 90-second pitch and a Q&A session. The award experts and the audience then nominate the nine finalists, who go on to present themselves to 1,350 leading figures from Swiss business at SEF.2019 in Interlaken.

This year at Astrocast we were selected to participate in the Campus Day where our Head of Strategy & Operations Laurent Vieira de Mello presented the company and responded to the challenging questions of former winners, finalist, and successful business leaders.

After an exiting Campus Day, the jury selected Astrocast as a finalist in the HIGH-TECH / BIOTECH Category to, later on, attend the Swiss Economic Forum conference “Yes, The optimistic code” and present our company in front of leading personalities from business, academia, politics, and the media.
