Astrocast Nominated for Via Satellite’s 2022 Satellite Technology of the Year Award

22 February 2023

Lausanne, Switzerland, February 22, 2023Astrocast, a leading global nanosatellite IoT network operator, announces today that its Satellite IoT solution has been nominated for Via Satellite’s 2022 Satellite Technology of the Year Award. The nominees are chosen based on innovation, benefit to the industry, and overall disruption to the satellite landscape.

With its bidirectional data protocol, Astrocast enables its customer to collect and manage their data from rural areas not covered by cellular or terrestrial networks through a state-of-the-art nanosatellite network, designed, assembled, and operated in-house.

Astrocast is the only New Space IoT LEO network with commercial access to L-band spectrum and its miniaturised Astronode Patch Antenna is small enough to be integrated into any asset, enabling very portable solutions. Optimized for direct-to-satellite IoT applications, the Astronode S module offers the lowest peak power consumption on the market.

The winner of the 2022 Satellite Technology of the Year Award will be determined by a combination of the Via Satellite editorial team and votes that come directly from industry. The public can vote for Astrocast online.
